Hobo Wine Skate Charity Event — October 20

On October 20, join us and help Hobo celebrate 10 years in business and support people living with cancer at a charity skate event and harvest dinner.

The Skate Event:
2-4 pm at the Healdsburg Skate Park, 15252 Grove St.

There will be an awesome skate demo with pros from REAL Skateboards and friends and a raffle of action sports equipment, art, wine, and more.
The Harvest Dinner:
A charity dinner event served in the Hobo cellars and throughout the winery from 5-9 pm by former Zazu chef Tara Wachtel and her husband Les Goodman of Dry Creek Kitchen and their company Adafina Culinary. Wine will be poured from Hobo’s retrospective list of the last 10 years including: Hobo, Folk Machine, Banyan, Make-Work Wine Co. and the Ghostwriter.

There will be live music from the Doppler Trio -the edgy SF Jazz based trio.

A silent auction will feature many killer items including: wine from producers like Arnot Roberts and Wind Gap, original art, spa packages, and catered dinners in the vineyard, and more.

The commemorative Potter Valley Pinot Noir, Westward Expansion, will be released alongside matching skateboards. The single bottling has 3 different labels designed by Landon Dowlen of Landonsea Design (www.landonsea.com) and each label has been placed on the bottom of a skateboard produced by REAL just for this event. They will be available for raffle, auction, and sale at the event.

The Back Story:
Inspired by Hobo’s cousin Jessica Hensley’s fight with cancer and the support she received from the Baltimore based non-profit, Team Inspiration, we asked our friends at REAL Skateboards and their Actions REALized Program to collaborate with us to raise funds to support Team Inspiration and their quest to provide resources to promote the healing process for people living with cancer.
